Iolanthe loves her name but says it has nothing to do with the Gilbert and Sullivan musical by the name name. She would much rather have been named for the James McMurtry song and it is true that her mother kept plastic on the furniture in the living room, so she figures her parents were wrong about that, along with everything else.
All paintings come ‘ready to hang’ with black painted edges and wire hangers unless otherwise noted. It is not recommended to place encaustic paintings behind glass, as the texture should be felt as well as seen. This art is safe to gently touch!
