An old gasometer at dusk. These structures remind me of temples, an homage to an earlier time, and to the energy we used to build everything we have now. It's a way of honouring the industrial past but also hoping for better ways of doing things now and in the future.
This piece comes with black painted edges. It is not recommended that encaustic paintings be placed behind glass, as the texture should be felt as well as seen. This art is safe to gently touch!
Each painting is a bespoke original. All paintings are sold unframed, painted on wooden encaustic board (2 cm depth) with black painted edges.
Please note that all packing and shipping material is repurposed to reduce waste, and while we avoid using styrofoam and plastic, we do not ever source new material of this type and only re-use non recyclable materials. Thank you for your understanding.
